Sunday Social

This is my first Sunday Social blog!  I'm pretty excited to be doing it!  My friend Beth, has a great blog and she's inspired me to start my own, so be sure to check out Beth's blog!

1] What was your first car?  An old blue chevy conversion van.  It was huge!  Don't tell mom, but I used to go park in the school parking lot at the back, fold the back seat into a bed, and then sleep.  I was a pro at writing notes in my mom's handwriting for being late!

2] Who was your favorite childhood teacher? Mrs. Staiert, my kindergarten teach.  She was an amazing women and I still have so many memories from those years!  She retired after being a teach for 37 years!  Here's an awesome article about her!  My favorite teacher!

3] Were you involved in any sports/extracurricular activities? Absolutely!  I ran track for 2 years in high school, played softball for two years, and also was a cheerleader.  Some of my fondest memories and lasting friendships though, are based on me being a football manager for my last three years in high school!  Go Tigers!

4] What was your favorite birthday party? My 16th birthday party!  Me and a bunch of girls took out the van- I was extremely frightened to be driving that beast alone for the first time.  We came home and massive cake fight, pitchers of water and lemonade were dumped on each other including my mom!  Then we listened, sang, and danced to the Grease Soundtrack while it up!

5] Who was your teenage crush? Brad Pitt- loved and still love the movie "Legends of the Fall"

6] What show did your parents not allow you to watch? I don't really recall- we weren't very TV orientated and didn't spend a lot of time in front of it.

It's a perfect, rainy Sunday here!  After being gone Friday and Saturday, I'm spending the day snuggling with the kids, organizing myself for Monday, and I'm going to take a nap!  Love naps!  Love your Sunday!

  1. I'm glad that you discovered Sunday Social! It really is a fun meme, and a great way to meet others in the blogging community. Hope you have fun with it!

And while I wasn't a manager in high school, in college I spent one season managing the lacrosse team and another managing the basketball team and had a lot of fun with both!

  2. Oh my gosh. Hahaha I wish I had a conversion van in high school. That is the best idea ever! I always had to sleep in the classes on the uncomfortable desks.

New follower stopping by from the Sunday Social! Can't wait to read more! :)
